We doubled the square footage of our home in Brookline working with Marcos Coelho and his remodeling team from Mega Construction Services. We are extremely pleased with the end results and Marcos was awesome to work with. He is extremely reliable, punctual and responsive. We found that Marcos delivers consistent, high-quality work and I was especially impressed with his foundation, framing, insulation (spray and sound proofing), finish carpentry, tile, bathroom and electrical work. Importantly, Marcos came highly recommended from friends due to his long track record of many home renovations in our neighborhood. During the process, we learned that Marcos is in very good standing with the building department/inspector, which facilitated our permitting process and accelerated the timeline for our basement excavation and addition of the new 3rd floor. During the remodeling process, Marcos often went beyond the contractual job description and he was always focused on getting the job done to our satisfaction and in a cost-effective manner. Along the way, we decided to make several changes to the original plan (e.g. added extra windows and a 6 foot sliding door to gain access to the back yard; removed a load bearing wall to get more of an ‘open concept in the living room; added extra recessed lights and outlets; decided on cedar shingles instead of cementboards for the external siding) and Marcos was always very accommodating, and extremely fair when it came to change orders. In summary, I can highly recommend Mega Construction services for home additions and remodeling.
